Business Journal reporter Andrew Hamm dies

Andrew Hamm, a veteran reporter with the Silicon Valley/San Jose Business Journal, died suddenly Monday at his home in Tracy.

The San Joaquin County coroner's office said Hamm appeared to have suffered a heart attack. A cause of death is pending further tests. He was 46.

Hamm had been at the Business Journal since 2000 and covered energy, transportation, hospitality and sports management. He'd previously worked at a number of Bay Area publications including ANG Newspapers and the Milpitas Post.

Funeral arrangements are pending.
